What is URBAN LITERACY ZONE ?

         Urban Literacy Zone is an Education based program,which focuses on assessing,targeting and improving students reading and math levels. Our target population is youth from Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

How Urban Literacy Zone works?

Urban Literacy Zone works with students in small groups. Boasting an 8 to 1 student to teacher ratio,Urban Literacy Zone can first assess students in both literacy and mathematics. Determining levels through researched based assessments; students are then supported through tutoring services and then with individualized instructions on their current literacy and math levels. Students receive homework support,receive interventions based on their current instructional levels,and are assessed every 8 weeks to determine relevant data for areas of strength and weakness.
